Who We Are
Founded in 2025, LHF Economics was conceived by João Victor da Silva to bring the knowledge and experience he gained from years of study and work abroad to the corporate sector. Our mission is to drive the development of companies, equipping them to tackle challenges in both domestic and international landscapes. About João Victor
João Victor da Silva is a Brazilian registered economist (Corecon/SC: 3978) with an outstanding academic background and professional experience, including significant periods spent in Brazil and abroad.
He holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from Boston University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Later, he earned a M.A. with honors in International Relations from the University of Chicago, specializing in International Political Economy, Economic Development, and Social Science Research Methods. His master’s thesis, which examined how domestic policies constrain major powers in their pursuit of monetary hegemony, was awarded the Morton A. Kaplan Prize for the best in the program in 2022. Additionally, he completed a M.S. degree in Finance at the University of Miami, also with distinction, focusing on corporate finance, wealth management, financial markets, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic areas of the field.
Professionally, João has built a diverse and highly relevant career. He began his journey as a Market Analyst at Orsitec, conducting macroeconomic studies, economic-financial assessments, and analyses of legislative impacts, focusing on Tax Reform. Subsequently, he worked as an Investment Strategy and Research Analyst at PATRIZIA SE, a German asset management firm (€55 billion AUM), in their London, UK office. In this role, he performed macroeconomic and political analyses, evaluated international real estate markets, supported the development of investment strategies for funds, and contributed to assessing real estate projects’ economic and financial feasibility.
Beyond that, João is a columnist at Portal SCC 10 (an SBT affiliate in Santa Catarina), where he has written about economics and politics for over four years, delivering clear, well-founded analyses to a broad audience.
